Moving towards a universal project database: G2P-SOL gateway 1.0 released

The G2P-SOL gateway 1.0 has been released and presented to the consortium partners. The aim of this database is to act as a hub for the management, analysis and integration of the inventory, phenotype and genotype data generated by work packages 2 to 5 . It is based on Project Unity , a platform developed by G2P-SOL partner Phenome Networks.
To make the G2P-SOL partners more familiar with the features of the tool, a presentation webinar has been organised by Dr Yaniv Semel, CEO of Phenome Networks.
The launch of the G2P-SOL gateway marks a crucial milestone for the project as it enables the consortium to both store and analyse passport information as well as phenotypic and genotypic data already available to the partners in a modular, user-friendly way.
All the data produced in work packages 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be uploaded to the database, turning it into the perfect platform to collect existing knowledge from different sources, match experiments by various researchers and evaluate marker effect on phenotypes from hundreds of QTL and GWAS studies.

The G2P-SOL project (Title: Linking genetic resources, genomes and phenotypes of Solanaceous crops) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 677379.
