Growing insights and fruitful discussions
APSA-WorldVeg Vegetable Breeding Consortium Workshop (Taiwan)

Dr. Roland Schafleitner, World Vegetable Center Flagship Leader for Vegetable Diversity and Improvement, introduced the G2P-SOL project to participants at the third annual Asia & Pacific Seed Association (APSA)-WorldVeg Vegetable Breeding Consortium workshop on 15-16 May 2019 at WorldVeg HQ in Taiwan.
Fifty-eight participants from 39 companies across the region joined 46 WorldVeg staff for discussions, intensive seminars on the Center’s breeding work and other research, and in-field evaluations of tomato, pepper, and cucurbit crops. Dr. Schafleitner also demonstrated the Center's new field phenotyping system, which is expected to generate new insights into plant development.

The G2P-SOL project (Title: Linking genetic resources, genomes and phenotypes of Solanaceous crops) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 677379.
