G2P-SOL Report on the 17th International Eucarpia Meeting “CapsEgg2019”

From September 11 to 13, 2019, the 17th International Eucarpia Meeting on Genetics and Breeding of Capsicum and Eggplant “CapsEgg2019” took place in Avignon, France. The 5 general scientific topics of the meeting were “Genetic resources and domestication”, “Resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses”, “Nutritional value, quality traits and yield”, “Biotechnology and genomics” and “Pre-breeding and breeding”.
The G2P-SOL consortium was represented by BATEMS’ Dr. H. Filiz Boyaci, Dr. Ramazan Ozalp and Dr. Abdullah Unlu. They lectured about “Combining resistance genes by crossing between eggplant cultivar and its relative”, as well as about “The Development of Pepper Lines Resistant to Yellow Mite (Polyphagotarsonemus latus) and Western Flower Thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis)”.
