G2P-SOL Gateway open

The G2P-SOL Gateway provides the worldwide Solanaceae germplasm and data about its population structure, its genomic composition, its phenotypes, and methods for data analysis. The Gateway is hosted by G2P-SOL partner Phenome networks and it is planned to mirror it at partners WUR and ENEA. Since the beginning of 2020 some features of the gateway are publicly available, i.e., without the need of user name and password.

Once the users access the system, all accessions of the four crops are available and the users can search, filter and sort accessions, view passport information and download to Excel. In addition to the passport data, the gateway includes phenotypic observations and genotypic data that are currently only shared among the members of the G2P-SOL project. However, by the end of the project this extra information will also be shared with the public.

After the end of the project it is planned to further enrich the inventory by adding new accessions of the four crops, new passport data and synchronize the gateway with other databases such as Eurisco and Genesys.
