Dr IVANKA TRINGOVSKA,
Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute (MARITSA)

“MVCRI’s main tasks are to collect passport, phenotypic and image data of Bulgarian accessions of tomato, pepper and potato in order to contribute for creation of core-collections. The collections will be assessed for the main agronomic traits, for fruit or tuber quality traits and biotic stress resistance. Our team will validate novel traits in the three G2P-SOL crops and coordinate the second wave of pre-breeding.”

The G2P-SOL project (Title: Linking genetic resources, genomes and phenotypes of Solanaceous crops) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 677379.
